In March 2024 I will be DJ’ing again together with my partner Paul Strudwick at the Winter Tango 2020 in Lillehammer. There will be the opportunity to benefit from my specific Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement classes for tango dancers as well. This tango weekend is organised by Sissel Berg and TangoBanco, the tango club in Lillehammer.
The event is described as followed:
“Winter tango is back to where it started 20 years ago, to Kulturhuset Banken in Lillehammer. The weekend 8 -10 March, is all about good music and a great social atmosphere, where everyone will get to dance “a lot with many”. Think of an intimate milonga setting where understated dance movements are more appropriate than high boleos; this event will suit everyone who likes to be able to dance in harmony with the other dancers on the floor. Rather than classes, there are practicas during the day and milongas in the evening, all with music provided by two DJs.
We are so happy to invite back our British friends: Bärbel Rücker and Paul Strudwick from England! This means that there will be excellent music !!!
We will organize a nice skiing event for those who like on Friday. Transportation is easy. We go by bus directly from the train station to Sjusjøen or Nordseter, from there we have a lot of options before we go back by bus, or by ski.
It might also be possible to skate on the lake Mjøsa or have fun in the snow: Lillehammer snow park – Olympiaparken
Before milonga Bärbel will give us an opportunity to practice Feldenkrais. It was very popular last time we offered Feldenkrais at Hornsjø, People come back and said “so little things make such big differences”. Find more information at her own site movingexperience.eu.
Sunday we have invited Tigertango from Oslo, it will be the second visit to Lillehammer. They play dance music, and will alternate with the DJ, so do not worry, you will be able to dance a lot.”
