Test your vision – Where is your horizon?

When was the last time you rested your eyes on the horizon?

For many of us we are spending the days in front of a computer screen.

A lot of our free time is then spend indoors.

A little Feldenkrais test move #4

Take this little test (at your own risk) and see if you could benefit from working on your eye movements.

  • Take a minute and close your eyes and when you open them again notice where you look first.
  • Is your gaze pointing down, up, to the right or left, or do you really look straight forward?
  • Try it standing up or sitting down as well.
  • What do you notice?

Actually, it’s not only your eyes looking in a certain direction. Your body and especially your head is orientated through the eyes as well.

Holding your mobile phone many hours a day will, most likely, cause your head to hang forward.

A head is rather heavy and that changed position will put strain on your neck and back.

Working with the eyes in Awareness Through Movement lessons can help to relieve the tension in the shoulders and neck. Relaxing the many muscles around the eyes is a fast way to look younger. Honestly.

We see in order to move; we move in order to see.

If you are ready for some bigger changes and less tension in your neck and shoulders you know where to find me. My current online program is at the bottom of this blog post.

You might see changes happening even faster when working with me in a private setting. At the moment I have a few weekly online private class slots available. Get in touch to discuss your options.

But be aware that you might want to “move with ease” again and again!

If you feel curious about it and you could do with more range and comfort in your body please get in touch.
